Riviera Apartments

Community

  • The Riviera is for full-time day continuing students at Brigham Young University.
    • Full-time day continuing students are students taking at least 9 credit hours as undergraduate students or 2 credits as graduate students.
    • During Spring and Summer Terms the credit requirement is 4 credits for undergraduate students and 1 credit for graduate students per term.
  • Apartments are available for students eligible for Single Housing.
  • Designated apartments are available for those who are eighteen and younger.
  • Tenants of the Riviera are expected to keep the honor code and maintain the standards of a gospel-centered community.

    Fall/Winter 2026 – 27 Turned 19 prior to January 1, 2026
    Winter Semester 2027 Turned 19 prior to January 1, 2026

    Returning tenants who have lived on-campus during the Fall and/or Winter semester of a previous academic year qualify for 19 and older housing.
  • Tenants of the Riviera are expected to keep the honor code and maintain the standards of a gospel-centered community.

Room Types

  • Apartments at the Riviera have either two or three shared bedrooms and two bathrooms.
  • Each room at the Riviera is furnished with two beds, a desk, chair, and closet.
  • Each apartment is furnished with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, dining table, dining chairs, and seating furniture.
  • Rooms come without décor.

Services and Amenities

  • Riviera tenants are encouraged—but not required—to purchase from a wide variety of meal plans to accommodate their dining expenses.
  • Riviera tenants share a kitchen with three to five other tenants.
  • Laundry facilities are located in the complex.
  • Games and sporting equipment may be checked out at the clubhouse. A ping pong table is available for residents' use in the club house
  • Facilities include a fitness center, sand volleyball court, study room, pool, hot tub, and clubhouse.
  • On-site parking is available for Riviera residents who register their cars with BYU parking.

  • Rental payments include all utilities, wireless internet access, and Residence Life activities.
    • For internet access, tenants provide their own compatible wireless router and connect it to a BYU network data jack in their apartment.
