Family Housing Petitions

General Petition Information

  • To submit any petition, a tenant can either click the "Submit this petition" link below the desired petition or they may click the "Submit petition" link on the right side of this screen.
  • Petitions are sent to the Housing Review Board which decides on each petition case by case.
  • Petitions may take up to two weeks to process.
  • Campus Accommodations cannot guarantee that any petitions will be granted.

Agreement Cancelation

  • Petitions for Agreement Cancelation are for future Family Housing tenants who would like to request to cancel their contract prior to the beginning of the agreement.

Waiver of Credit Hour Requirement

  • The Petition for Waiver of Credit Hour Requirement is for tenants who wish to request to remain in on-campus housing without enrolling in 9 credits for Fall and Winter or 4 credits for Spring and Summer Terms.
    • Graduate students are only required to take 2 credits during Spring and Summer terms and Fall and Winter semesters.

30-Day Liability Decrease

  • The Petition for 30-Day Liability Decrease is for tenants who have submitted a 30-Day Termination Notice and who would like to request to decrease the remaining number of days that they are liable for their contract.

  • Tenants, whose petitions are approved, will be required to obtain a Post Office box to receive correspondence.
  • Supplies or materials cannot be stored in or distributed from the apartments.
    • This policy applies to businesses such as Mary Kay®, Discovery Toys®, Tupperware®, Pampered Chef®, day care, tutoring, music lessons, and any other form of business.
