David John Hall - Brittany Anderson
Brittany Anderson is an incredible and diligent Resident Assistant that truly cares about each of her residents. In the month of November, Brittany has tried to fight her residents’ winter blues by continuing to build strong and meaningful relationships with them. November is often plagued with frightful midterms and scary term papers, but Brittany did not let them stand in her way.
For one of her November programs, Brittany learned how to make pumpkin pie. She then invited her residents to come to the basement kitchen to learn how to make pies. Later that night, her residents invited a men’s floor over to share ice cream and pie. Brittany also invited her floor president to speak about being responsible citizens. While both floors were enjoying their yummy dessert, Kate, Brittany’s floor president, educated the residents on how to vote. Brittany not only taught her residents how to make pumpkin pies, but also how to be responsible citizens and vote.
Brittany also loves to include her residents in anything she does. She wanted to watch a movie in her room and invited anyone who was interested to come down and spend some time with her. She has been appreciative of these moments with her girls because she has been able to bond with her residents and build stronger real-life relationships. Brittany also often goes to the gym and found out which of her residents attended her gym. She regularly invites them to come to her gym. She has built lasting relationships that will help her to mentor and aid her residents throughout the rest of the school year.
Brittany has also been a great mentor to her residents and has helped them to be independent and be responsible members of the floor community. Brittany has invited her vice-president on her floor council to facilitate her Community Standards Meetings. She has found that not only her residents feel more comfortable sharing their feelings about the floor community, but that her vice president has learned how to facilitate discussions and ask meaningful questions.
Brittany is an incredible Resident Assistant because she is diligent and cares about her residents. She has meaningful programs where her residents learn a lot about real life experiences. Brittany also helps her residents to feel included by inviting them to spend time with her. Lastly, Brittany has helped her floor to develop a healthy community by inviting them to be involved. In the month of November, Brittany has demonstrated that she has been a diligent and caring Resident Assistant for each of her residents.

Taylor Hall - Jenn Hogan
Jenn Hogan has been noted for not only her great attitude but has been recognized this month for showing her fellow hall members love, kindness, and willingness to make a difference.
Throughout her life Jenn has surrounded herself with family, friends, leadership, service and sports. In her high school years Jenn was actively involved in her student government varying in positions from class president to student body. She has also been involved in many prestige leadership camps and conferences helping her skills as she serves in her various positions. While in high school sports were a big part of her life and even at BYU she still is surrounding herself with what she loves to do participating in the intramural and coed volleyball teams. At BYU Jenn is also working a part time job, working hard through many honors classes, and serves as the hall president in Taylor Hall at BYU.
This month Jenn has shown her caring and cheerful attitude as she helped decorate the hall for Christmas. Her efforts are noted profoundly. Not only did this small act of painting the windows, putting up Christmas lights, lighting the Christmas tree and putting the stockings up helped dec. the halls but her cheerful and energetic attitude rubbed off on everyone in the room making lots of smiles and a whole lot of Christmas spirit. Her countless acts of love and thoughtfulness has affected all in the hall making Taylor Hall the place to be.
Jenn's efforts this month have been outstanding as she demonstrated the true meaning of thoughtfulness and kindness. Her efforts will never be forgotten during this time of the year and will live in the hearts of all who see the magnificent sight!

Stover Hall - Brad Ackerson
Brad Ackerson is a Freshman here at BYU majoring in Bio-chemistry. He is from Portland Oregon. He is involved in many things, including being a leader in one of the young mens groups here on campus. The reason why I am nominating Brad is for what he has done with our hall this month. What happened is that Brad, along with other people on our floor, decided that we should all be in a more festive mood this holiday season. So he organized flyers and sign up sheets to get people to bring decorations from home. Once we all had our decorations, he got us all together and we completely decorated our floor. It may not seem like a lot, but the fact that he got our floor to come together is truly something great and worthy of an OTM.

Budge Hall - Thomas Clyde
We all know how messy college life can get. Especially in a boys dorm, it's pretty easy for people to be eating food all over the place, video games are going on with many people confined to one small space, and the food somehow doesn't make it into people's mouths. Instead, someone drops their food on the ground, or someone gets up too quickly and spills a drink, and before you know it there's a mess on your hands. And somehow, even though the mess was obviously someone's fault, nobody ever seems willing to take the blame for the mess, or the initiative to clean it up. This month though, that was far from the truth.
Thomas Clyde, a normal freshman like any other guy in Helaman Halls, took it upon himself to ensure that Budge Hall maintained it's cleanliness, or at least his hall in it. This month, the guys on his floor for some reason or another, got into a food fight with bread on their floor. Needless to say, this lead to quite a mess of bread crumbs, a mess for which Thomas wasn't a part of at all. Yet, when no one involved in the fight was willing to clean up the mess, Thomas took it upon himself to get down and clean the mess up. And then as if this wasn't enough, not too long after, an incident happened on the floor where a student spilled a glass of juice on the carpet of their room. Normally, the student would have had to pay around $60 to get the carpet cleaned and any stain removed. However, although he wasn't involved or associated with the mess in any way, Thomas helped the student by lending him his personal carpet cleaning supplies, saving the kid $60.
Because of these random acts of service towards the cleaning of his hall, I nominate Thomas Clyde as the Budge Hall December OTM.

Merrill Hall - Joseph Naylor
This fine gentleman hails from the rough country of Overland Park, Kansas. Not only is he a downright goodlookin’ feller (as his picture portrays), but he also happens to be a man very active in his residential community. As an assistant to the board of the Student-Alumni Association, he recently organized a Hall floor effort to aid in the BYU-Utah “Food Fight” canned food drive. Part of their plan included an all-out food-search blitzkrieg on student apartments south of campus. In two hours they managed to collect, yes folks, count it: about 5,000 lbs of food. For those of you who like your weights in tonage, that’s around 2.5 tons! How ‘bout them Ramen Noodles? Additional kudos are given him for the organization of his floor’s late Thanksgiving party. It included a Tuesday night full of movie-watching, mattress-jumping, Hero-Guitaring, and hallway-sleeping in excellence and tranquility. What does the future hold for this fine young squire? A major in business, secondary education, a minor in Halo?. Things there may be a little unclear, but one thing is for certain: another semester, and he’ll be out serving his Church as a full-Time Volunteer missionary for two years. It is clear that Joseph is determined to serve his school, his hall-mates, and his church.
